This morning I had a lovely break from writing: coffee with Brian Rouff. Brian (in addition to running an advertising agency here in Las Vegas) is an award-winning screenwriter and novelist, His novels, Dice Angel and Money Shot, are both set in my favorite location, present-day Las Vegas. For an insider’s view of the real Sin City — not to mention fast-paced, engaging stories packed with memorable characters — these are books worth reading. Brian’s website is worth checking out, too.

Really, there’s no better shot in the arm than chatting with a fellow scribe. Writing is a solitary pursuit, and it’s great to have the chance once in a while to talk about the delights and challenges with someone else who’s enjoying analogous experiences.
